BioLaura is a self-represented performer who has trained in both Quebec and Ontario. She has an advanced diploma in Music Theatre-Performance from St. Lawrence College in Brockville, Ontario, and an Honours BA in Performing Arts from the Sligo Institute of Technology (Ireland).
As part of her final year abroad, Laura wrote her undergraduate dissertation on the intersection of environmentalism and theatre. She strongly believes in theatre as a unique art form that can inspire change in individual mindsets and work as an instigator for a societal shift towards a greener future. Laura is a trained pianist and vocalist and has worked professionally in PEI and Montreal. Most recently, she has been lifting spirits with her music during these isolating times at Villa Beaurepaire, a non-profit housing residence for seniors. She was a member of the Saint-Anne Singers a cappella choir during their most recent season and now teaches voice virtually. |
