BioLaura is a self-represented performer who has trained in both Quebec and Ontario. She has an advanced diploma in Music Theatre-Performance from St. Lawrence College in Brockville, Ontario, and an Honours BA in Performing Arts from the Sligo Institute of Technology (Ireland).
As part of her final year abroad, Laura wrote her undergraduate dissertation on the intersection of environmentalism and theatre. She strongly believes in theatre as a unique art form that can inspire change in individual mindsets and work as an instigator for a societal shift towards a greener future. Laura is a trained pianist and vocalist and has worked professionally in PEI, Montreal and across Canada. Most recently, she has been lifting spirits with her music during these isolating times at Villa Beaurepaire, a non-profit housing residence for seniors, and also performing for under-privileged areas in Montreal as part of the Mini-Concert Santé series. Laura manages a private voice studio and spends her free time thrifting, trading, swapping and upcycling things that bring her joy. |
